• Questions and answers: The building-code questions you ask, the AI-generated answers, the selected code book, and the code references returned are stored so you can review them later in your history.
• Usage data: We may collect basic usage analytics, such as which features are used, to improve the app. We do not collect precise location data or track you across other websites.

2. How we use your information

• To answer your building-code questions by sending them, along with the selected code book, to our AI reasoning service.
• To save your question history so you can revisit past answers.
• To authenticate you and secure access to your own data.
• To maintain and improve the accuracy and quality of the service.

3. How your data is stored

• Your account and question history are stored securely on the Base44 platform, which hosts this application.
• Answers are generated using a third-party AI service and then saved to your history. The question text and selected code book are sent to that service to produce the answer.
• Code references link out to the official ICC digital codes at codes.iccsafe.org, which is a public resource.

4. How we share your data

• We do not sell your data.
• Your questions are processed by our AI reasoning provider solely to generate your answer, and are not shared with any other third parties for marketing or advertising.
• Only you can see your own question history. Administrators of the app may access records solely to maintain and support the service.
• We may disclose information when required to do so by law.

5. Data retention

• Your questions remain in your history until you delete them. You can remove individual questions at any time from the history panel.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

6. Your rights

• Access and review: You can view all of your saved questions in the history panel.
• Deletion: You can delete any of your saved questions at any time.
• Account closure: You may request that we delete your account and personal data.

7. Children's privacy

• This service is intended for professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

• We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
